The rules for using OnDemand

1. Acceptance & eligibility

By creating an account or using OnDemand, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract under the laws of Jamaica.

2. What OnDemand is (and isn't)

OnDemand is a marketplace that connects Clients seeking trade services with independent Providers who offer them. Providers are independent contractors, not employees or agents of OnDemand. We do not perform, supervise, or guarantee the work itself. We verify Provider identity and certification/portfolio, facilitate booking and payment, and provide dispute resolution support.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping access to your email secure, since sign-in is by one-time email link. One account may hold both Client and Provider roles.

4. Booking, deposits & payment

• A service request expires automatically if the Provider hasn't responded within 48 hours.
• Once a Provider accepts, the Client pays a 20% deposit to confirm the booking.
• The remaining 80% is due on completion of the job.
• Card payments are processed by PayPal. Cancellation, refund, and dispute rules are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Provider terms

• Providers must complete identity and certification/portfolio verification before appearing in client searches.
• Providers set their own prices and are responsible for their own tax obligations as independent contractors.
• Payouts are processed weekly in a batch, not instantly per job.
• Cancelling an accepted booking triggers a strike on the Provider's account. Three strikes flags the account for Admin review and possible suspension.

6. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Provide false identity, certification, or booking information.
• Arrange payment outside the platform to avoid fees or verification.
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against another user.
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

7. Reviews & disputes

Clients may leave a rating and review after a job is completed. If something goes wrong (an incomplete job, a no-show, property damage, or a payment discrepancy), either party can raise a dispute from the booking page, which is reviewed and resolved by OnDemand Admin.

8. Intellectual property

The OnDemand name, branding, and app are our property. Content you submit (reviews, messages, photos) remains yours, but you grant us a license to use it to operate the service, for example showing your review on a Provider's public profile.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

OnDemand facilitates connections between Clients and independent Providers but does not control, and is not liable for, the quality, safety, or legality of the services a Provider performs. To the maximum extent permitted by Jamaican law, OnDemand's liability for any claim arising from a booking is limited to the amount paid for that booking.

10. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, is subject to repeated disputes, or accumulates three or more Provider strikes, pending Admin review.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Any dispute not resolved through our in-app process is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica.
